 TRANSLATION

I hold a BSc in Physics from UCL, a GSC in Civil Enginering from Tsinghua University, and am about to finish my MSc in Scientific Technical and Medical Translation.

For details of my skills check out www.trasino-translations.co.uk

I'm really excited about Trasino because it's a company run only by native English speaking Chinese to English translators, and only involving native English speaking Chinese to English translation.

I also have a profile on the well known freelance translation database proz.com. To have a look click here. The link will take you out of my page.

Apart from the technical stuff, my other research interest is the history of translation. Below are a couple of things I have written which you may find of interest.

So remember to go and check out www.trasino-translations.co.uk

Research Interest Resource
Late Qing translation

I am fascinated by the Late Qing - early republic period of China.

I am happy to say an article I wrote on the subject has now been published in an academic journal, you can find it via the following link, which will take you out of this page.

You can look at: my translation, and my translation commentary which may be useful for you if you are interested in this kind of thing. Both of the files are in Word format. I recommend downloading to your computer, do this by right clicking and selecting "save as".

St. Jerome

This is a powerpoint presentation which I wrote with my classmate Erika. St. Jerome was the patron saint of translators and quite an interesting character. It contains a short presentation about his life and the role he played in the development of western translation. The file is in powerpoint format. I recommend downloading to your computer, do this by right clicking and selecting "save as".
